As we learned in our previous lesson, every Click Ticket is built using 5 simple parts:
- The underlying asset (What coin you are tracking)
- The option type (Whether you want the right to buy or the right to sell)
- The expiry date (The exact date your ticket expires)
- The strike price (Your target price for the trade)
- The option price (The small upfront cost you pay today)
In the following articles, we will be focusing specifically on Right to Buy tickets. These tickets give you the power to lock in a price to buy a coin at a later date. Because this ticket gives you the right to buy, we will also look at why using a ticket is often much smarter and safer than buying the actual coin itself.
Remember, for every trade, there are two sides. When you buy a "Right to Buy" ticket, you are paying a small fee for a choice. The person on the other side of the trade (the seller) takes your fee. Because they took your money today, they have an obligation to sell you the coin at your locked-in price if you decide to use your ticket on the deadline. You have the power; they have the obligation.
To make this incredibly simple to learn, Module 2 will stick to everyday examples using traditional US dollars. Then, in Module 4, we will apply these same rules to the crypto market. This step-by-step approach allows you to master the basic mechanics first, before adding the speed of crypto in a fully secure, regulated environment.
